Calculation modules

Engineering guides

Use WellSim as an engineering aid: validate units and assumptions, inspect warnings, and compare results with independent evidence.

Production and nodal analysis

Build inflow performance, choose the matching vertical-lift model, define well geometry and find the operating point. Use calibration and sensitivity tools to explore uncertain inputs instead of forcing a single result.

PVT

Oil, gas and water property correlations support the calculation modules. Confirm fluid type, pressure and temperature domain before choosing a correlation.

Artificial lift and injection

ESP and gas-lift workflows compare equipment or injection choices against the well system. Water-injection calculations use the same explicit unit and validation practices.

Reserves and forecasts

Material-balance and production-forecast tools are model-based estimates. Preserve the source dataset, assumptions and revision used for each decision.

Engineering responsibility: a converged numerical solution is not proof that inputs, correlations or physical assumptions are appropriate. Qualified engineers must review results.

Future module families

The platform structure is prepared for reservoir, production technology, well-services and intervention modules. Each new module should publish its schema, units, calculation version, validation envelope and export definitions.
